One Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester, NY 14623-5603
Lab Postdoctoral Fellowship
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Rochester Imaging Detector Laboratory (RIDL), within the Center for Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The RIDL develops and advances new innovative detector technologies for astronomy and other fields. These detectors employ novel circuit designs that can deliver highly desired characteristics, i.e. sub-electron read noise.
The RIDL is a development lab for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) and Supernovae Acceleration Probe (SNAP); both are leading projects for exploring dark matter and dark energy in the Universe and are two of the most important astronomical missions planned for the coming decade.
The RIDL Postdoc will participate in the development and testing of novel CMOS detector technologies for a broad range of applications. The initial appointment will be for two years with possible renewal for a third year. Applicants must have a PhD in electrical engineering or related field.
Inquiries about this position may be directed to Donald F. Figer (figer@cis.rit.edu). Applications can be made at mycareer.rit.edu (place in Keyword field IRC4415 for detailed job listing). Applications should include a cover letter, resume, and names of three references.
