The Milky Way's Densest Star Cluster: The Arches Cluster

	Applications are invited for a Data Analyst in the Rochester Imaging Detector Laboratory, within the Center for Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology. The Center for Imaging Science and the RIT Physics Dept (http://www.rit.edu/~physics) host a growing world class astrophysics research group. The successful applicant will work closely with Donald Figer on problems of massive stars using data from Hubble, Chandra, Spitzer, the VLA and ground based infrared telescopes.

	Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy, Physics, Astrophysics, or related fields (Master's is a plus) and have experience with astronomical research, familiarity with scientific computing, expertise in data analysis, very good knowledge of IDL, and programming ability. Additional mathematical, statistical and computer skills are desirable.
